On April 26, 2025, the Les Meres et Debutantes Club of Greater Lansing marked a significant milestone—the 60th Diamond Cotillion Ball—under the captivating theme “A Night of Enchantment.” Held at the elegant Country Club of Lansing, the evening commenced at 6 p.m. and featured the grand presentation of four radiant debutantes: Karrington Cosey, Victoria Hollingsworth, T’gan Robinson, and Tahirah Latifah Shareef. Each young lad, guided by her escort, dazzled in white ball gowns, embodying poise, grace, and refined etiquette honed through years of mentoring. The event honored the Club’s legacy—founded in 1962 by nine visionary African-American mothers aiming to cultivate leadership, service, and cultural pride in their daughters . Beyond the splendor of choreography and formal introductions, the night celebrated community achievement, educational excellence, and deep bonds of sisterhood that define the Greater Lansing tradition.
